Your Next Steps in Starting Your Relationship with Christ

Let's Celebrate

You accepted Jesus? That is so awesome! As your New Sound Family, we are celebrating with you.

As you start your relationship with Jesus, we want to help by giving some tips.

How to Start Your Relationship with Jesus

01. FIND A BIBLE THAT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND
There are thousands of versions of the bible to choose from. Find one that you can understand and start reading. You can also download the free YouVersion Bible App.

A great place to start reading is in the Books of John or James.

02 FIND TIME WITH JESUS DAILY
Just like any relationship that we have, it takes time to know someone. We encourage you to find a time that works best for you and spend time getting to know Jesus.

We suggest starting with the 5-5-5 Model. (5mins of Worship, 5mins. of Bible Reading, 5mins. of Prayer). If you want to take more time, that is awesome too.

03. FIND A CHURCH FAMILY / COMMUNITY
God never intends us to live life alone. We encourage you to find a church home that you can connect well with.

You are always welcome to be a part of the New Sound Family and would love to have you come one Sunday at 11:00a.

The 5-5-5 Model

WORSHIP (5 Minutes)
Spend five minutes giving praise to the Lord, singing with music or voicing your thanks towards Him.

Here are some artists to consider... Elevation Worship, Maverick City Music, Hillsong UNITED, Brandon Lake, River Valley Worship, Highlands Worship are a few.

BIBLE READING (5 Minutes)
God's Word is the bread of life. Find a version that is understandable to you. There are thousands of translations and themes to choose.

Ask God to give you spiritual insight as you the Scriptures. Need a starting point? The Book of James or John are great ones to start.

PRAYER (5 Minutes)
Prayer is simply having a conversation with God, just like you would with anyone else. Tell Him your ups and downs, the good, bad, and ugly. He really wants to listen. When there are times you don't wait to pray, talk to God about it.
